I guess, as the inaugural blog posting, I should give a bit of information about myself. I am married, I have 2 kids -- a teenaged son and a daughter who just turned 20 after Christmas. I have lived in Michigan most of my life, with brief stints in Luxembourg and Germany in high school and college.
I currently work as a hostess at a restaurant in an upscale mall and this time of year is HELL! I'd like to know why, the more financially successful some people get, the snottier they become?

I think that the snotty people are those full of pretence and are not necessarily the most financially well off.

You're probably right about the pretences. I sometimes wish that everyone would have to work in the service industry to understand how hard it can be to always perform the service "with a smile"
